Melissa
Osborne/Lyrica is a writer and the creator
of Lyricalworks, She
earned an M.A. in English Literature at Texas A&M University;
however, the real work began when she put pen to paper to write
her first poems many years later. Completely in the dark creatively,
she decided to uncover what she had been missing all along.
Don Barnett was born and raised in California. He studied at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and is now following his craft in the Pacific Northwest. Primarily a digital Illustrator and painter, Don has always been fascinated with the marine environment and is an avid Scuba diver. The Cachalot image is a good example of his storybook style. John Doyle is a photographer and multimedia consultant for clients like Broderbund Software and XeoDesign. A native of Southern California, he now lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area with frequent forays outside to keep it all in perspective. Some of his adventures include teaching English in Japan and, most recently, swimming with wild dolphins in Florida. He can be reached at jgdoyle@slip.net. Fred Longworth hosts two popular poetry readings at San Diego coffeehouses. His poetry, essays, and stories have recently appeared, or are forthcoming in, California Quarterly, Limestone Circle, Illya's Honey, Kimera, Maelstrom, Medicinal Purposes, Pearl, Rattapallax, Spillway, Thorny Locust. On the Web, he has been published in e-zines Poetic Voices, Red River Review, and Words on a Wire. Mr. Longworth also coordinates an e-mail poetry workshop called The Daily Poem, which is organized to allow the group to give individual feedback to member poets.
